I am happy to be open by appointment, so please call to make arrangements and get directions.
It’s a beautiful drive in the country, just off a main highway.
I may even have a few dye plants, etc in my gardens that you can see if you are interested, and the hummingbirds and songbirds are always here!

3. Is your site secure?
Laptop Quilts uses secure server technology through the financial company that handles our Merchant Account. This means that you can enter personal and credit card information directly online knowing that information you provide will be immediately encrypted to ensure maximum security.

4. Do you accept international orders?
YES! International Orders are currently accepted with payment via Credit Card or Paypal. All transactions are in US Dollars. Import/customs duties are the responsibility of the customer.

Please email me for additional international shipping information before ordering if you have questions.
Insurance is optional but recommended; it will be added if you request it and if it is available to your country.
Usual shipping method is Global Priority.
Usually 6-7 yards will fit into a Global Priority Flat Rate package.

YES, I WILL SHIP TO MILITARY ADDRESSES. As long as the US Post Office will accept the package, I will ship it.
Insurance is a good idea if it is available for your address if you foresee a potential delivery problem.

5. How do you ship orders?
Shipping and handling is based on using Priority Mail for fast, secure delivery.
I use online USPS shipping methods and Priority Mail usually includes Delivery Confirmation.
Shipping rates are figured by weight estimates with a Postage calculator integrated into the shopping cart software.
There is a minimum S&H charge of $3.00.
Insurance is optional but recommended, especially on large orders. Please request it.

For more information regarding shipping costs, including costs for shipments to locations outside the US, please contact me by email giving destination information. Adjustments will be made for actual shipping costs.
SHIPPING ESTIMATES are often incorrect due to lightweight bulky items and heavy small items. It is impossible for the online estimator to figure exact bulk and weight, or if combinations of items will fit flat rate packaging.
I charge only actual shipping costs, and refund overestimates.
(Special packing fees may be necessary on specific items, but items will be noted as such at time of purchase.)
Refunds/adjustments made for differences of $1 or more.
BankProcessing/Accounting fees consume lesser amounts.

6. How quickly do you ship?
Most orders go out same day or the first business day after being received, depending on the time of day that the order is received and when the payment clears.

7. What if you are out of stock on an item I have ordered?
Some of the fabrics offered for sale are from special purchases, and many times I am unable to re-purchase them individually. You will be notified if any item is out of stock or on order and will be delayed in shipment, and you will be asked to select from two options: (1) Receive the items in multiple shipments (what is now available, and the rest when it becomes available) or (2) hold the order until everything is available (usually within two weeks). NO extra shipping charge is added when a back order item is shipped.

8. Do you have a minimum order size?
There is no minimum order size, but minimum S&H charge of $3.00 applies.

9. In what increments can I buy fabric?
To save on the cost of doing business and to keep prices low, most fabrics are listed in 1/2 yard increments or 1/4yard increments.. Each listing will state the increment. Simply order multiples of the increment and you will receive your fabric in one larger piece cut from the bolt.
Fat Quarters and quarter-yard increments are available for all Reproduction fabrics.
PLEASE EMAIL ME if you need customized fat quarter quantities.
EXAMPLE 1/2 yd increments: Make your fabric selection and order a quantity of 5.
You will receive two and a half yards of fabric in one piece cut from the bolt.

10. Is any of your merchandise second quality fabrics?
Laptop Quilts does not purchase "seconds" or "irregulars". All fabric is ordered as first quality, and is inspected as it is measured for cutting. Occasionally a flaw may be missed, and if any flawed or defective fabric is ever inadvertently shipped, please contact me for return and replacement information. Also, once in a while I will offer a slightly flawed piece of goods at a huge discount, but it will always state the flaw and will be sold as such.

11. Do you sell or exchange customer information or email addresses?
NEVER. NO. Not for any reason. That's YOUR info, not mine.
If you should ever receive phished email (it would contain MY laptopquilts in the from)
PLEASE let me know so I can report it.

12. Can my order be changed after it has been placed?
Since orders are filled as quickly as possible after I receive them, you will have to be FAST. You are certainly welcome to notify me by phone or by sending an email requesting the change. If your order has not been processed, I will try to accommodate you. You will receive a return email to let you know the status of your order, and of course you may always return something you don't want. (The 60 day limitation applies.)

14. What is your return policy?
Merchandise is sold with a satisfaction guarantee. Merchandise purchased can be returned, and the purchase price will be refunded. Returns sent collect will not be accepted. You should make returns with delivery confirmation, as I cannot make refunds on merchandise I have not received. Please email before returning anything. There is a 60 day limitation for returns.

When your return is received, I will issue a return to your credit card for the value of the merchandise returned and sales tax, if any. I can not reimburse shipping and handling charges. No COD returns can be accepted.

15. What terms of payment do you accept?
Credit Cards are convenient. Visa and Master Card are accepted.

I am also happy to accept Paypal.
Please be sure to SUBMIT your order on the website checkout page after your Paypal processing is completed. You are not finished until you see the Order Confirmation page.

If you wish to snail-mail a check or money order, that's fine, too! Just make your payment selection on the order form and submit your order (BE SURE TO SUBMIT!). Then print a copy to enclose with your payment. Your order will be emailed to me through the secure server, and your choices can be held in your name until your check arrives (avoids snail-mail sell-outs).

16. Do you have a catalog you can mail to me?
No. I do not have the financial or human resources to put together paper catalogs.

The web-site is updated regularly, which reduces back-orders, sell-outs, out-of-stock items, etc.
Also, most paper in the US is still not recycled, and I'd rather sit under a tree than print on it.
